http://cgi.ebay.com.au/T-1000-SAMURAI-SW....trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A1|39%3A1|240%3A1318
this sword has weird blade color... which is red i think and i don't know enough info about katanas to know about colored blades... is the blade just painted with a red gloss finish or something and this is a question for any other swords that have either red, black or etc blade colors
and if you go to global gear they also have a same type of sword except for handle wrapping color and guard except the price on the global gear one is like way more expensive!... http://www.globalgear.com.au/prod2831.htm
so really my question is does a colored blade less efficient to a normal forged blade, how good is the g-series of global gear, whats with the label "1000" at the end, and why is the red global gear one so expensive is the blade better or higher steel quality?
(and isn't the guard for the first ebay sword the same one as the "kaze" by cheness)

Yeah, looks like the same sword with different fittings...and the others on the page make me think this is another version of Badtrack / Sunzhu. Sunzhu seems to be the "cheap" side of Badtrack, just like the ebay seller seems to be the lowball side of globalgear. Personally, not my cup of tea... I seem to get a bad vibe.
The red is likely due to whatever they do with their "titanium infusion"...likely some form of surface coating (will 10XX steel take a light anodizing?)...doubt it does anything other than look cool and give them an excuse to charge more.
Yes, the tsuba on the 1st one looks like the ones Cheness uses on the Kaze.

really not surprising to run into the kaze tsuba, cheness admits to using after market fittings to help keep things cheap.
as far as I know, no one here has one of the red blades, but general concensus seems to be that they will scrape off and lose the color with even slight use or polishing. it shouldn't make too big of a difference in the sword's cutting ability but it is probably not the quality you deserve for the price tag.
other-wise global gear seems to be pretty good especially if you live in Australia. there's a real glowing review of a few global gear swords on the main page. If I was willing to spend the money for shipping to the USA I would have probably bought a GG sword or two by now.

the sword looks cool but, at the moment that you use that one, the red comes off the blade(if i can call it like that)

I dont think it supposed to be just anodized metal. I think it is suppose to be that color all the way threw the blade since the 2 metal types are infused. There was a topic about this a while ago, but no one could find out for sure.
Upon a second look the Ebay one is called a T-1000 and the Global Gear one is a G-1000. If the Global gear one is that color all the way threw that would awesome, but for how cheap the T-1000 is I would stear clear it is probably just anodized. You can even see in the pictures that the G-1000 is much darker on color and is uneven looking which I would say is a sign that the metals are actually forged together to make that color not anodized which would leave a even looking surface which is how the T-1000 looks.

o ya the g-1000 from global gear is prob the way to go if you were to get one like that, i mean i hear global gear is good so for that price it prob is a good sword.
as for the color all through the sword that would be awesome, i haven't heard of a sword like that tho, i mean for that price it better be or im would never pay that price to have the color stripped off with one swing into a cutting mat.

with the infusion,,,when it is heated,,,,the air and the heat makes a kind of chemical effects and it gets red,,,but only in surface,,, when you scratch the blade,,the red come off.
so,, the red blade scratched get metal color. same as if it was painted,
