SBG Entry Level Custom Katana Arrivals Thread!
« Thread Started on Jan 9, 2009, 11:09am »

Post your pictures of you SBG Custom Katanas as they arrive, and feel free to discuss each other's designs - but please, keep questions about arrival times and shipping delays to the other thread.

I'll go first - just got it this morning, and full review to follow!

I'm wondering, since the shipping is free to Canada (I'm assuming because Pauls associate is checking some there), did you need to pay any customs taxes or anything on it?

I'm hoping not, since that was killer last time.

Looking forward to the reviews of some of these pieces.

Thanks guys! I had designed a "water theme" with C1 and P1 fittings, black same, blue ito and the pebbled black saya, and was pretty pleased how it turned out! Everything is tight and even, and there are no flaws that I can initially detect. I'll be going over it in more detail this weekend, and hopefully reviewing it for real next week.

Omega - there were no fees that I had to pay. I just walked into the post office and they handed it over - though, not without insisting on seeing it! (Our post office ladies are a pretty cool bunch...)

Excellent. There will be a high likelihood of me ordering one once they open up the orders again.

I see you went with the blue Dan,... I think that is a nice choice.

Kinda wish i went with that color. I think i picked the dark green?

Nice!
The texture on the saya looks very "classic" on the picture. Tsuka looks nice too, I like small diamonds.

So, there was a dark green option?

GOT MINE !!!!

man, after so much wait and delay, but it was definitely worth it :)

even thought the fittings were(and are still) a bit messed up, I find it pretty enought for me(actually I prefer it to my original idea, lol)

btw, Ito was supposed to be brown, but now it's clearly gold, but I think it looks nice...like, noble, haha

here it is:
